Hey Backers, They're finally here!

Quick Update: The packs are in and are starting to ship!

We have just over 2000 packages to ship out and will be starting with fulfilling the Kickstarter Backers first and then the Preorders. It's all hands on deck here and we're aiming to fulfill them all within the next week and a half to get them in your hands before the holidays.

Quick Air Freight Update

Just a small update, I don't know why but the air shipping is finally getting resolved. Pick up from China is scheduled for the 23rd and if nothing else happens we should be getting it at the end of the month. I will post another short update when I get confirmation that it's been picked up.

We've already trained a couple of additional staff on how we're fulfilling this, we have all the boxes and all the prep stations just waiting to move this product asap.

WERE ALMOST THERE I CAN TASTE IT

Production phase complete! Next up freight shipping

Production has finally finished and we got the final samples in our office. 

We've reviewed them all and just sent production approval of the final samples.

So the first thing you're probably thinking is, why did production take so long? A mixture of just small things caused the delay from the fact they didn't have all the plastic on hand for the run to a week long Chinese holiday in October.

Timeline: Will it still get here in time for the holidays/xmas?

Here's where we stand in regards to timeline and what we're doing to make sure to here in time for the holidays/xmas.

1) Shipping Prep: Production is packing up the sets into boxes for freight shipping for us. This will take until November 5th and will be slated for pickup by Fedex Freight on the 8th.

2) Freight shipping by sea: This will take a minimum of 4 weeks to get to us, putting us getting the package at least by the start of December.

Now for us this isn't optimal, as we've had packages delayed by customs before which add 2/3 weeks to the delivery to us, which could theoretically delay you getting the packs till late December. That's a no go for us so here's what were going to do.

2.1) Freight ship by air: Air shipping reduces the delivery time to us down to a minimum of 6-9 days but is also 15x times more expensive! 

So we plan on only getting what we require for fulfillment at this time shipped to us by air, and the remaining packs by boat. This will allow us to make sure everyone who backed/preordered gets their stuff in time, and it means we don't have to panic to ship them out. 

So make sure you have your surveys filled out so we can guarantee your package gets fulfilled!

If there are no additional delays (like customs) we should have the packs by November 18th. Which means we'll have ample time to ship out all the packs for you to receive before December.

We will be posting an update when we know it's officially been shipped to us so everyone is in the loop.

What else is new? We got a warehouse!

So one of the biggest hurdles we knew we had to resolve with this campaign is just the sheer amount of product that was going to be delivered to us.

We have a whopping 14 palettes. Each around 40"x40" filled with product. 

We were originally only working from a 200 sq ft space and considering we are a team of 4 we really couldn't start piling in the product in our tiny space. With our previous Kickstarter we discovered that we needed more room to be able to manage these campaigns so we spent the past few months while this was in production looking for a new space!

We moved in earlier this month and are still in the process of setting everything up, but by the time we get the package we'll have fully settled in. We'll be making a warehouse tour once everything is properly set up!

Final Proofs are in! Packs are still in production + Discord

Hey all just wanted to give an update as to where the Cubeamajigs currently are in the production timeline. The print shop is still working on the print run and should have them finished printing for us by months end. 

We did though get the final proofs that you can check out below!

Anything Else? 

Last time I mentioned we were looking for a new office space, well that actually has changed. We're looking for a warehouse and if all goes well we sign on Monday for a space to do the fulfillment from as the Cubeamajigs shipment is 14 palettes of product which just wouldn't fit in our current office space :p.

So what's the timeline? 

1) Production: 350,000 packs will take 4 weeks to produce. Looking to be complete at months end.

2) Lockdown: After we confirmed that the run has shipped we'll be locking in everyones orders and charging credit cards for addition add ons and preorders made in backerkit (if you didn't order extra nothing happens here).

3) Freight shipping to us: 4 weeks via Fedex Trade Networks (6 weeks if customs decides to inspect).

4) 1-2 weeks for fulfillment: Put us squarely in the end of October/start of November for fulfillment

Cubeamajigs Proofs are In! + Next Steps

The proofs are in!

We got a sneak peek at how the packs look and wanted to share that with you.

To make sure everything was on track we chose an assortment of Jason Engles designs to review light to dark designs.

What's new with the packs?

So we ended up having to get a new production facilities for these packs. 

The one we use to produce the beta packs were unable to produce a high enough product to our liking and because the run was over three times the initial expected run the production timeline would have tripled. 

So we shopped around and not only did we get a better looking and feeling pack, a better product for you, but we already had a relationship with the company as they produced a previous product for us. Win win win!

Here's a comparison of the beta pack to the proof pack.

This new packs will have:
1) vibrant color and greater detail
2) a extra white plate to reduce the opacity of lighter packs 3) a varnish to protect the printing from scratching from the inside4) sturdier build

So what's the timeline?

1) File Submission: We're submitting final iterations of files on Friday August 3rd.

2) Production: 350,000 packs will take 4 weeks to produce.
Fun Fact: over 10% of packs produced is Jason Engle's Lotus)

3) Freight shipping to us: 4 weeks via Fedex Trade Networks (6 weeks if customs decides to inspect).

4) 1-2 weeks for fulfillment: Put us squarely in the middle of October for fulfillment at the earliest.

Anything Else?

Things have been busy but good, we're looking for new office space because we know that when October comes we're going to need it for all the packs coming our way! We're estimating around 6 palettes of Cubeamajigs, over 100 boxes. We're going to need a lot of room! If all goes well we'll have the new facility squared away just in time for fulfillment.

Oh and if you haven't backed them yet Card Bearer's campaign has about a week to go, is fully funded, is now offering Worldwide shipping and is offering the modular parts separately!

We also got Cubeamajigs in their hands and as you can see below they fit snuggly in the library module. I know I'm getting a couple for my cubes.
